Halfway through the MTC

Wow I can't believe that I am halfway through my time here in the CCM. The elders that were here for three weeks when we got here left early this morning. It was rough to say our goodbyes last night because I had gotten so close with them. 3 weeks with guys 24 hours will do that for ya. The latinos are gone too and man it's quiet. HAHA every night they were yelling and wanting to have a fiesta. It never worked but still it was fun to see them hyped. I got some pics with my boys so I'll have to send them when I get to honduras.

Speaking of pictures holy moly I've got a bajillion!!! We went to the zoo today and I don't think you could have found someone more excited. Like imagine a little kid jumping for joy and I was more excited than that. I took tons of pics and lets just say they could go onto the National Geographic cover they're that good ;) jk but there were some cool animals. We went to a market and I got some cool stuff. Like bracelets and just some other shenanigans (how do you spell that word? HAHA) And to top of the trip we went to wendys. Ok now it's not your normal wendys. It's like suuuuuuper nice and its way big and they take your trays and dump your garbage for you. Oh and they bring your food out like within 15 seconds of ordering it. I'm gonna have to talk to the supervisors of the fast food restaurant places at home to see if we can get that kind of quality in america.

Early this morning we were able to do an endowment session in the guatemala city temple and it was so cool!!! We went last week but I forgot to tell you about it. Sorry...... but i love starting off the day with going to the temple!! I never went early morning before the mission and I can't believe it. Starting off your day with an overload of spiritual blessings is unbelieveable. Tomorrow plan to go to the temple in the morning or schedule an appt to renew your recommend as soon as possible because they temple definitely will bless your lives!!

Love you all and I love hearing from you!!!

Power

Wow time is flying by so quickly like HO. LY. COW. The thing about the gospel is that it blesses you in ways that you can't even understand. This past week has been unbelievable and I am growing like there's no tomorrow!

The CCM is the best. There's a quote that everyone says "the days feel like weeks and weeks feel like days". It's so true. The experiences here are just life changing. The latinos are the best!! They're loud and they like to party. They're always wanting to arm wrestle. Everyday they say someone vs. someone tonight at 10:00. It's usually this elder Bywater vs. someone else because they love this dude. He's massive and awe man just a spiritual giant. The latinos all just swarm him. Some of them can speak english so it's awesome to be able to communicate and learn new words.

We are constantly learning which is awesome. We are studying for like 3-4 hours straight and I love it!! Weird huh? Normally back at home I'd study for an hour tops and then lose focus or my head would hurt enough that I couldn't anymore but on the mission it's different!! The Lord really does bless his missionaries and everyone else who is faithful and does what's right. Funny story that happened during one of our study times. It was actually yesterday but we were studying and learning from our teachers and I'm just sitting there immersing myself in the language and my chair just slowly starts to get lower to the ground. Now these chairs do not raise or lower so I was super confused and right as I was probably 6 inches from the ground my chair just split in half. HAHAHa awe man it was rough. These chairs keep breaking. Now to make this clear I have not gotten fat and I still weigh 170lbs (yeah I went and weighed myself later to see if I had gained weight). Awe man good times. It's nice to have moments of fun and laughter cuz it's an awesome way to relieve stress and if you know me I love to laugh and have fun.

In the CCM we have devotionals and we get to watch videos of the apostles that gave firesides to the missionaries. (I think it's only shown in the MTC's so sorry you can't go watch them) But anyways, we have seen so many good ones and you can probably guess who has given some of the good ones ;) One of the good talks was by elder Bednar. The main part that stood out to me was a phrase he said probably 5 times in a row. "YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!" The first time he said it it was like "ok ya that's pretty cool" but then every time after it just became more and more powerful. The spirit bore witness to me that WE can do this. Guys the gospel is true and the spirit and Jesus Christ and our Heavenly father is there to guide us because they're family and families love each other no matter what!! Awe man that one hit me hard.

Another devotional video was from elder Holland. Man does that man have power!!!! You know how in General Conference after he talks you feel like you just finished riding a high speed roller coaster? Ya it felt like that after he spoke. Something powerful that he said was "convert yourself + obey him+ listening to the spirit= success. It's so true. Put it to the test this week and I promise that you will be able to have the power to move mountains because you will have the spirit of God with you. You guys are unstoppable. Be disciples of Jesus Christ.

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Primera Semana

Hey everybody!!! I survived and I am thriving. They feed us so well here.

My first day here was rough. The flight came in really early and we didn't sleep that much on the plane so we basically pulled an all nighter. If you've ever done that..... Don't do it cuz its rough. I fell asleep in almost all the meetings the first day but it's ok cuz I was studying lehi's dream ;)
They made me get a haircut the first day. If you saw me the day I left my hair was super short. Like way shorter than I normally get my hair. And then they make me buzz it basically. Ugh man I didn't realize that my hairline has receeded (spelling?) its rough but hey part of life. They had us doing so much stuff the first day and every day that we've been here that I don't have time to think of anything else. They know what they're doing here.

They're pretty strict on rules. It's kinda annoying but obedience is key so I'm following them. ALSO I CAN'T SEND PICTURES :( Ya rough. But I''ll load you up with some awesome pictures of guatemala and The CCM (MTC in spanish)

Like I said earlier the facilities here are nice!!! Like I wasn't expecting hot water. My last shower at home I tried to take as long as possible in my hot shower but I guess I can enjoy it a little more :) They feed us so well. Like way better than what I was making at home. They seem like they're gourmet food. Also kinda have effected my digestive system but hey it's not that bad

Exercising is awesome here. They have a niceish facility and they have bball courts. Tadje and I have been balling it up oh and he brought these workouts from his trainer and lets just say I look like an old man walking everywhere.........

It's so green here but they don't really let us out of the gates. The views from this computer room are gorgeous!!! The temple right there and then mountains of green as a backdrop..... MAN!!!!!!

Hope You all are thriving and making sure you keep God in your lives because he's there and he wants to help you and make you as happy as can be. The spirit I have felt here is just incredible. District meetings are the best because we are a bunch of buds struggling to learn the gospel in spanish but the testimonies of these guys is just incredible. Awe man it's awesome to be a Missionary for Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father!!!

I wanna share a quick testimony in spanish:

yo se que esta iglesia es verdadera y que nuestro padre celestial nos ama y que podemos revolver mediante el expacion de Jesucristo. En el nombre de Jesucristo amen.

LOVE YOU ALL SO FLIPPING MUCH!!!!
