PROGRESANDO

Another week gone in the blink of an eye..... how?

This week was pretty normal. We have found a couple of people but I don't wanna jinx anything so I will let you know how they turn out next week but I'm pretty pumped for the future of this area.

So our investigator with a baptismal date is progressing soooo much. He's got his buddies for support and he reads, prays, asks questions. HE's a golden!! He's got this week to finish learning and this saturday will be his baptism. Super pumped!!

Some cool things this week:

The other elders that share our ward had a baptism for two teenagers which was super cool

After the baptism the parents of our three converts invited us to go eat at a place called Taco Pollo. Super delicious!! We chilled and talked for a long time and it was awesome. Also on one of the TV's Golden State and OKC were playing so I enjoyed a little bit of that..... MAN DO I MISS SPORTS!!!

Yeah well not much happened besides that so take care and enjoy your week!

Last Pday we went "shopping" and I found a dope tie for less than $5 and it's a nice brand/tie. LUCKY

WE also went to a grocery story and I found POP TARTS and it was a flavor I liked so enjoy those pics

The fumigator came to spray the house and the next day we had a scavenger hunt and piled all these cockroaches together

There's a tree with a fruit the smells rancid!!! The annoying thing is that they always fall in our back patio

Clean Again

Heyooo

This week was super exciting. Well mainly just the weekend because We had a baptism.... well three to be exact. Oh man it was super exciting. The spirit was super strong and they all were super happy. A lot of members and family came to support them and it was super cool! I love baptisms because everybody is happy and you can feel the spirit and you know that they are that much closer to returning to our Heavenly Father.

We also have another teenager that is progressing named Edgardo. He's super cool! He's 13 years old and he wants to get baptized really bad. He says that he loves the church and he says it's "muy bonito". I am super excited for him and hopefully he follows the example of the three youngins that got baptized this last weekend.

Lifes good here in San Pedro and I'm super happy here in this ward. They really take care of the missionaries here. I have had a cold for the past 3 weeks and they're always offering medicine and lots of other stuff. I don't wanna leave this area.

Have a good week

Two drunks and a fever

Well this week was pretty interesting.

Referring to the title, one day this week we were in the street and this drunk guy came up to us and started to flirt with me. Really uncomfortable. Never wanted that to happen again but...... two days later we were walking to lunch and a drunk guy on a bench started hitting on us as we passed. Never has that ever happened to me until I got here and hopefully it never happens again.

So that was pretty interesting. We had a Multi-Zone Conference and Elder Zeballo came to talk to us. He's from the area seventy for central america. It was pretty cool and I learned a lot. It was kinda hard to focus becase they had the A/C cranking full blast and I don't have a suit jacket so now I understand how my sisters and mom feel during sacrament meeting...... well also I started to feel really terrible like achy bones and well my whole body was achy and my nose started to run and a whole lots of other stuff. It was one of the longest meetings of my life because I was super miserable. But I learned a lot for the part that I could pay attention. One thing that I did learn is that I shoudn't have fear. As a missionary it is critical that I open my mouth and share with everyone! I've passed houses and feel like I should stop but there are people outside and I get nervous/afraid and then we pass the house and a little ways down the street I want to return and talk to them but it's too late. Probably a missed opportunity that I could've helped my Father in Heaven with one of his kids here. As we put our fears aside God will put us on paths to influence the lives of others to help them be happier and in return we feel the joy  that comes from serving. DON'T BE AFRAID!!

Love you all!

BLESSED

Fam and Friends,

Man do I love my new area!!! This place is awesome!! Here the members are super generous and energetic about missionary work. Just in these last few days we've recieved at least two references and they also have told us times when they are available and said they'd love to come with us......... I FEEL LIKE I AM DREAMING!!! I am going to love this area so much!! These last few days have been pretty crazy because in the mornings we've had some service projects and all the members want to have us over so they can welcome us into the ward. They also say that in about a month I'm going to be super fat so if you have any simple workout plans that'll help burn fat quick let me know haha.

The investigators that we've met with are super cool. They are super excited and we put a baptismal date for the 17th and they're super excited about it. Their dad is a less active member who is coming back and wants his kids to be baptized. He is so determined that he asks for the pamphlet for the next lesson that we're gonna teach so he can go over it with his kids before we come over.... WHAT? I'm super excited for this area.

Some things about this area:
-Our house is huge and pretty decent. It doesn't have air conditioning so that'll be rough during Semana Santa but I'll send pics of the house that I took.
-The church is two stories and really new. It's about 2 blocks away from our house which is super close!
-My comp's name is Elder Sarceno(put a squigly mark above the n b/c I don't know how to on this keyboard haha) He's from Guatemala and has about 9 months in the mission so not much more than me. He's super animated and is super excited to work so I'm pumped
-This area is a ward and on sunday there were about 150 members so pretty cool. The weird thing is the schedule. We share the building with another ward so we have Priesthood first hour than sunday school(gospel principles with our investigators) and then Sacrament meeting last. Church starts at 8:30 too so that's also weird.

I love it here and I'm super excited. It's kinda dangerous to have a camera with you so I may not be able to take as much as I did in my last area but we'll see.

LOVE YOU ALL
