It's COMING!!

Heyoooo a todoooooos!!!

Well lets just start of by saying this week flew by super quickly which is crazy!

Like I said in my last letter we had divisions with the District Leader from Progreso. We stayed Sunday night to watch the devotional and then decided to stay over Monday night because every Tuesdaymorning we have District meeting so it'd be better to stay there while we had the necesities to do so. It was awesome because Monday night we were chilling in the house and I looked outside right as a semi passed by a power line and caught onto it a little and sparks went flying everywhere and the lights flickered a little bit. Right after that a car passed and hit the cable because it was now lower and the cable went flying and the sparks went everywhere and the lights flickered a ton! The neighbors lost all power because their cable got ripped from their house. We went outside to direct the traffic so nobody else would get hurt. It was so crazy because sparks were flying and I saw the whole thing!!! Don't mess with the electricity lines haha

This week we visited this young women that has been coming to church with her Aunt? or Stepsister? I didn't understand the word she used haha but she's solid! If you met here you would think she's already a member. She takes and studies every lesson we've taught so far and it's awesome because she has the support of her aunt/stepsister so she's golden! The only thing we've got to do is get permission from her mom because she's 13 yrs old but we're pretty optimistic!!

The family from Batan wasn't there on the day we normally go but we saw them on the way back and they said we could come back the next week and they were so excited! Hopefully they'll progress and that we can help them get married so they can be baptized and live forever as a family.

Saturday was rough because we didn't really have any appointments so we basically contacted all day and it was blazing hot!! I felt like I went on a 20 mile hike when we got home I collapsed on my bed and was out for an hour. HARD WORK!!!

Sunday was election day here and we were told to stay in all day because it's dangerous so we were in the house almost all day long. It was good because I got to rest but kinda boring to be honest. I had lots of time to read the conference talks which we got this week and man I just got pumped after every single talk I read. Awe man you all have to go re-read all of the talks cuz they're so good. One that stood out to me was the talk Elder Utchdorf gave Saturday morning session titled: A Yearning for Home. It's super good and please go read it!!

Hope all is well this upcoming week and make somebodies day better!!

So I had some mosquito bites on my ankle and there was a day where it down poared and my legs were soaked and it made my bites itch and so I itched and got carried away....... It's all better now

Mejorando

Hey fam and Friends
This week was way better and I have learned so many things. Sometimes We recieve trials and challenges in our lives that we can´t seem to overcome or get passed but there is always a way. I  learned that this week. I wanted to just escape the hard time I was going through. That´s not how we learn/grow. Little by little we learn how to get over the next hill and eventually we´ve gotten to the top of the mountain(I hope you enjoyed that terrible analogy haha) Looking back on it I realized that it was hard but I had people along the way helping me through every little second. Especially my Heavenly Father. Although I didn´t hear his voice I felt like he was saying that everything would be alright.
This week we had stake conference which was interesting. There were a ton of people and we didn´t fit in the stake center so we went to the classrooms to listen. It was cool because all of the missionaries from my zone were there and it was super fun! We did divisions Sunday night so we could watch the Face to Face devotional which was awesome by the way. Go watch it.
We have been finding lots of people but I don´t know if they will progress still so this next week will be the week to find out. Our investigator with a baptismal date hasen´t been able to come to church which is suuuuper important. We´ve had to move her date a lot but I still have hope she´ll have the desire to come. We´ll see.
I hope  all is well. Here are some good scriptures that you should go read: Mark 6:31 (Bible) and Mosiah 4:27 (Book of Mormon) Sorry there aren´t any photos. We are in a cyber cafe because we are still doing divisions until tomorrow and I don´t trust the security of the computers. I´ll sent lots next week ;)
Love you all

Puddles

Hey fam and Friends!

So I'm not gonna lie this week has been the hardest week of my entire mission. I recieved my new comp which is new new to the mission. I have the responsibility to train him....... I can't explain how hard it has been. I still feel like I need to be trained for another 3 months. IT's ROUGH!!

But my comp is from a city called Esmeralda in Ecuador so go look it up and let me know how it is. I basically know lots about Ecuador because Elder Miranda talks about it A LOT!! But hey It's because he's proud to be from there just like I'm proud to be from the USA. Anyways there's lots to be learned. Every spanish speaking country has their own dialect so some of the words he says I've never heard before and he has to explain them a lot haha. I don't know if I'm going deaf or I'm just not used to his accent because the words I've used the most this weak are "como" "que" and "huh" (basically they all mean what haha). The good thing is I'm improving my listening skills.

This week we basically contacted for most of the time which is kinda rough because I wanna teach. I want to be able to see people progress and be able to see the happiness in their lives. The good thing is we will have lots of people to teach in the next week because we are contacting a ton. We'll see how it goes.

One thing that I've learned this week comes from Preach My Gospel. In chapter 6 which is the section with Christlike atributes. I read the section about patience because I felt like I needed to learn about it and develop more patience. I learned that Patience includes the ability to endure delay or opposition. We are all different and we do things our own ways which can be hard to adjust to but if we continue to develop this attribute we will be able to strengthen our relationships with others.

Hope you all have a great week!

So it's been raining and flooding this week so there's a ton of mud and I stepped in a place where it looked like solid dirt but was a mud pit so my shoe got soaked in mud.

Because of the rain the water isn't clean. Yeah I've had to shower with water like that all week!!!

Que le vaya bien

Hey friends and fam!

This week was pretty interesting with lots going on! A lot of the things we did was to prepare my companion to return to his house so we didn't really get to work much in our area which is hard because we've gotta make up for lost time but we're gonna work hard.

We went to the murder capital of the word which was pretty cool. Honestly it doesn't feel that scary there in the downtown city part. Most of the scary gang stuff happens on the outer limits of the city. We went and bought a couple of things for me and my comp and then we went to lunch. My comp wanted to go to Johnny Rockets which I would recommend. Really good burgers!! After all that jazz we went to the office where the secretaries and President work because my comp had his final interview. He passed if you were wondering ;) It was a good trip but traveling there took about 3 hours and then returning took about the same.

Sunday was crazy. We basically visited the whole branch in Mezapa to let my comp say goodbye and all that juicy stuff. It was kinda hard because I felt like I was leaving/going home. The members were really generous too because they gave us a ton of food. I can't believe how full I felt that night. I was so full that I felt like my stomach was going to blow up! Also I was in that limbo where you feel like you're gonna throw up but you can't but all in all it was awesome! Such a genrous people!

Saturday morning we recieved new of the changes for this week and well lets just say I was pretty anxious to find out my new comp. I knew I was recieving a new comp because Elder Villalobos was going to leave to his home. But my mind was blown when I found out that......................... I'M TRAINING A NEW COMP!!!!! I'm super nervous because I'm not 100% on my spanish and I still feel like I need to learn about the processes in the mission. These are going to be some hard and fun times because I will need to trust in the Lord that he will guide me through all the moments in the next 3 months (that's how long a missionary is trained in the mission field).

My new comp is Elder Miranda. He's such a cool dude! I have only known him for less than 24 hours and I can already tell we are gonna be tight. He's from Ecuador, 18 years old, likes to talk and learn which is cool. I'll send a photo of us but man am I excited. It's gonna be a bumpy road but it'll be fun!

Love you all
