This week was pretty crazy! It has been pretty cold and yesterday we went to a place like DI and I found a sweet sweater because man it's chilly!
Yesterday something pretty cool happened. We were coming home from progreso on the bus when I noticed someone took some CTR rings from my back pack. I didn't do anything because it was just a ring so no big deal and it was kinda funny because he stole a ring that promotes doing good things. When we got back to the house I checked everywhere for my plaque that has the magnet on the back for shirts that don't have the pocket. Couldn't find it and realized that the guy took my plaque as well. I was pretty bummed because the mission here doesn't make manetic plaques. Only the ones with the pins. So I was pretty bummed and we left the house to write. We got to the church and there wasn't any electricity. The workers there that are constructing a baptismal font said that some guy came earlier in the day and cut the electricity because there was a debt that the church has had since 2016...... doubt it but whatever. So we couldn't write yesterday and that just made me more let down cuz writing is the best part of the whole week! We called the ZL's to see if we could go write somewhere else but they said to just wait til we got to progreso the next day (today), to write. So we left and were walking back to the house when we saw the theif in the streets. My comp stopped him and you could tell he felt guilty taking my stuff. He started to take all the jewelry off when we said all we wanted was my plaque. He was fidgeting with his pockets saying that it was broken and and mumbling a bunch of stuff. He took my plaque out and gave it to me and then we left. Hopefully he enjoys the rings and some day figures out what the letters mean on the ring haha.
So that was pretty exciting. Also on Sunday we had 6 investigators in Sacrament meeting which is unreal in the mission. Especially in my area because usually we can barely get 1 to come. In the afternoon we taught the Moran family the restoration with the video and we had the Branch President's daughter come to help us with friendshipping the family and she's a recently returned missionary so she knows her stuff. The spirit was there during the lesson and we invited them to baptism on the 17th of February which is super exciting!! Hopefully they'll be prepared and ready for that day. The sad thing is I probably won't be here but I'm glad that there can be more members and that the Branch here in Mezapa can grow!
We taught the Cruz family and we had to tell them we wouldn't be able to visit them as much anymore because they weren't progressing anymore and they didn't come to church. That was rough like usualy because I don't want to leave investigators!
Life here is good and finally getting exciting. RIght as I'm about to probably be transferred things get moving. But I know that it's not for me, it's for those that we are teaching.
LOve you all and enjoy your week!!
