Week one down with the new comp and I have already seen lots of little miracles happen every day. I love miracles cuz they blow your mind and also let you realize how much God's hands are in our lives.
A miracle was we only had one appointment yesterday and to be honest I didn't want to contact all afternoon. But all off a sudden a member calls and says come to my house at 3. Reference! After that the appointments came in one by one almost the same way until the while afternoon got filled. We were blessed because 1. we didn't have to contact all afternoon and 2. we got some references!
Other miracle: so this week I was getting kinda down and lacking motivation but Saturday we go to a welcome home party for a sister missionary from Pineda. We get there and just meeting her and seeing her excitement made me wanna be like that and got my energy/motivation cranking again. God works in mysterious ways.
Another miracle/answer to a prayer was I was praying to know if the baptismal date for an investigator was the one. The next day we went to the office to pick up an elder to be in a trio for the morning. We go back and we go talk to president about her situation and he said it was fine that we baptize her this week! ANSWER TO A PRAYER! Crazy thing is I didn't realize it until I was praying at night and I realized and had to thank Heavenly Father in that moment. That's the crazy thing is you don't realize it's an answer to prayer in the moment normally. It's usually not until a while later you realize it was an answer. But yeah we may have a Baptism this weekend (the 20th) We just have to settle a few things but we're optimistic about it. I'll let you know next week if it happens or not haha
Info about new comp: from Argentina, I can understand him a lot more now haha, middle child of 5 kids so that's the same as me-2older bros and 2 younger sisters, walks like a speedwalker, 21 yrs old, his hobby's are ping pong and tennis. Such a good guy!
Funny story for the week:
So we get home at night Saturday and I get to ironing my shirts so I don't have to on Sunday and we'll got carried away and ironed for the whole week. I finish up sweatin buckets cuz I'm here in the Sahara desert. Go to get in the shower and am happy showering, jamming to some good ole MOTAB when the lights start to flicker. They stable a little bit and then *bujewwww* (like the sound effects when the lights go out in movies). I have to shut the water off, find my way around to get my towel then look for a lantern or flashlight, something to light up. I get the lantern and turn it on and my comp is chilling there on the phone with the "what just happened" face. Just some normal life here in Honduras.
Also shoutout to my Sister for allowing me to be a Tío May 2019!
Love you all,
Elder Beardall
