TRUJILLO

Heyooooooo!
So lots has happened this week so hopefully I can get it all down.

First off FELIZ AÑO NUEVO! 2019 has got lots of promise to it and I feel like its gonna be a good one!

Next item of business,  TRANSFERS CAME!! I had to say goodbye to my fam in Pineda which was hard cuz we all grew so close! Love 'em! Wednesday I had to pack my bags and head out early Thursday morning to get to a little place I'd like to call paradise! An 8 hour bus ride and I arrived here in Trujillo. I've only been here 4 days and I am pumped to be here! It's kinda like Ceiba but now I've got both the mountain and the beach in my area! Yesterday we were walking to an appointment and we turn the corner and there it was! The sound of the waves gave me CHILLZ! We live so close to the beach too which is awesome because there are lots of cool breezes which is highly appreciated with this heat! The apartment is NEW! Like not even a year old I'm pretty sure. Everything is clean and if I wanted I could walk barefoot in the house. FINALLY a nice house haha. We also always have water with pressure. There's also a closed balcony where I hung my hammock to enjoy the cool breezes! The center is also like 4 blocks from our house which is nice. My comp says it's super secure here so I'm gonna keep my camera in my pocket to snap some quality pics. Stay tuned! The members here are AWESOME! The majority of the people here are black but I couldn't be happier cuz I love em so much! They're super relaxed and their lifestyle is awesome! There's a good vibe here in the ward too which is good! Oh also the people here play basketball and let me say that they can play! We played Friday night with some investigators and I realized that I'm rusty on my balling skills. The good thing is I'll get home and be able to ball it up. I'm super STOKED to be here!

We also have some awesome investigators. My first lesson here we go with a family with a member and it was awesome! The spirit was so strong and the member knew just what to say. I sat there egging him on (wait is that a phrase?) HE HAD NO FEAR TO SAY WHAT THE SPIRIT WAS TELLING HIM!! At the end we put them on date for February and they accepted! They also came to church yesterday and loved it which is exciting!

So it being new year I've had time to ponder on what I accomplished in 2018 and what I wanna do in 2019. I've never been one to set goals but I've decided to set some. But sometimes setting a goal for 12 months, 365 days,  is a long time. So I decided 6 month goals is something better to start out at. Then in June or July evaluate the goals and make more for the rest of the year. Goals are super important!! If we don't set them, what are we going to be working towards? Will we really be able to reach our full potential or will we just be set on cruise control? Last week I received a letter from someone in which they shared something that was so good I'd like to share it. Talking about improving for this next year they said,

"AND I KNOW, BECAUSE I TEND TO HAVE A PERFECTIONIST MINDSET THAT ITS GONNA BE HARD FROM THE BEGINNING. IM GONNA STILL BE WEAK. IM GONNA WANT TO STOP TRYING. BUT THAT'S WHERE JESUS COMES IN. I BELIEVE IN HIM. AND I BELIEVE HIM. HE SAID HE CAN MAKE WEAK THINGS BECOME STRONG IF I HAVE FAITH IN HIM."

I hope that this year you'll all be able to make your "weak things become strong". Rely on Jesus and become STRONG
