Hambre & Milagros

Pretty sure that's the first Spanish title I've done so pull out your dictionaries.

So this week we got a call Monday night saying that President Carlisle wanted to do a mission-wide fast Tuesday to Wednesday. The purpose was to be able to see miracles in this month and to be able to baptize those that are prepared. That explains the "hambre" part and the miracle part I was gonna share but I got my homecoming talk subject and its perfect for the subject so of you wanna know about the miracle we saw this week, Sunday June 23rd 9:00 :)

Wednesday morning we had a service project but we went in church clothes because 1. We had interviews at noon and 2. It was a lesson then a service so we brought shirts to put over our clothes. We read the Book of Mormon with her and she's finishing up almost but we were able to read and learn in Ether so it was good. After we went out back and picked a gnarly smelling fruit called "nonis" (sounds like "naw nees") I sent a pic when I was back in Calpules but they're gross. Supposedly they're used for medicines but they're gross. I don't like them. We actually had our lunch canceled that day and we were fasting and we still hadn't gotten lunch figured out when the lady offered to make us lunch after our interviews. The Lord blesses us when we serve and do what He would if He were here.

My comp went to get his residency Friday morning with one of the ZLs that share the ward with us so I stayed with the other for the morning. All we did was practice for a mission activity we have planned as a stake for this week. We did it last year when I was in Pineda (around October). I'll let you know how that goes next week.

So we had interviews Wednesday morning and it was awesome. President is doing his last interviews with most of the missionaries because he finishes at the end of June. Luckily I'll get one more as I'm heading out. But it was a good interview. It was probably the most relaxed I've ever seen him and we were joking around about each other working hard to the end and we had some good laughs. I loved the message he shared that comes from Elder Uchtdorf from this last conference.

Photos: so it's kinda dangerous to pull cameras out here and I just got my camera charger, so next week I'll get some good shots. Next Week will be better!
