Semana Santa

Well something embarrasing, I wished you all a Happy Easter a week early but hey I still hope you enjoyed it and that you  could think about the sacrifice while you enjoyed your chocolates from the easter bunny.

This week was probably the hardest week of the mission. One reason was because the famous heat of San Pedro Sula..... well Honduras in general has begun! You walk outside for 10 seconds and you already have drops of sweat dripping down your face (and i'm not exaggerating, I actually counted) Even though I'm drinking tons of water the exhaustion still is daunting. The energy to go outside and visit people is at about 10%...... this sun is killer

On top of the heat wave this last week was Semana Santa. It's a catholic tradition where they do stuff that are reinactments of what happened to Jesus Christ in his final week here on the Earth. It's basically Spring Break in comparison because the majority of the people here go to the beachs of Ceiba and Roatan (which if you're looking for a high quality vacation spot look it up!). So the streets were empty and all of our investigators were out of town. We had nothing to do and lets just say I'm glad the week is over.

General conference was pretty steller though. My mind is blown with all the major changes. I loved how they had the new apostles testify of a living prophet before he announced the major change. I testify as well that Russell M. Nelson is the prophet of God here on the earth guiding us every moment and that he recieves revelation for us to be able to combat the evils of the changing world. I love this gospel and the blessings we recieve through the covenants and obedience to the commandments. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to serve and love His children 24/7 for 2 years. God is good!

Love you all
