Que lo Que

One month down and I have no clue where that went. I have been blessed beyond measure. All the people around the world that are praying for the missionaries..... I can definitely feel the blessings being poured upon us. Everyone here i progressing so much and you can see the progress. Day by day, poco a poco.

The new guys came in this last week and lets just say there are a lot of Americans. I miss the latinos for the most part. There are only Nortes on our floor now so it's not as loud at night and we don't get to speak and work on our chill type of spanish. Like casual talking not gospel spanish. After the first two nights that they were here a couple of my buddies and I decided to read the Book of Mormon after we got ready for bed during our chill time at night. In just a week I've seen an improvement of just one week of reading. I can now understand whole verses in spanish. Haha before the mission it took me like five minutes for a verse because I was looking up basically every word. God really does bless you when you are doing his work.

We were blessed to be able to watch another devotional from elder holland and it was again an uplifting experience. In part of his talk he talked about "astonish them with your words". He went into the detail of it by explaining the greek or whatever it is root of the word astonish. Astonish in greek means thunder. So if you put that into context we need to preach the word of god with thunder. If you think about it thunder can be heard from far away because it is powerful. Same with the gospel of jesus christ. It is powerful and can change our lives. We teach with a voice of thunder but we also need to have the companionship of the holy ghost to help touch the hearts of our investigators. And so my friends PREACH WITH ASTONISHMENT!!!!!!

Love you all!! Be examples and make your Father in Heaven proud!

Elder Beardall

ps que lo que is something dominicans say apparently. It means like what's up or whats happening. My buddy Elder herrera is dominican and apparently he lives two doors down from Big Papi so that's cool i guess haha
